Terms of Service for Peers
Effective Date: 2026-08-21
Last Updated: 2026-08-21
1. About the Service
Peers is a live event engagement platform operated by Peers AS (org. nr 835 569 942, Blindernveien 5, 0361 Oslo, Norway). It lets event organizers run interactive experiences — voting, scoring, quizzes, games, and audience media — and lets you participate in them with a Peers account or as a guest.
Some events are presented under the organizer's own brand. Those event experiences are operated by the organizer using the Peers platform, provided by Peers AS. How personal data is handled is described in our Privacy Notice.
2. Your Account
- One Peers account works across every event on the platform. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
- Guest access creates a temporary account so you can participate without providing personal details; guest accounts may be removed after an event concludes.
- You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate another person or create accounts for automated or fraudulent participation.
3. Acceptable Use
When using Peers you agree not to:
- manipulate votes, scores, leaderboards, or game results, including through multiple accounts, bots, or scripts;
- upload content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- interfere with the operation or security of the platform or access data that is not yours;
- use the platform for unsolicited marketing or any unlawful purpose.
4. Your Content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, questions, and other content you submit. By submitting content you give Peers AS the license needed to host, display, and process it in order to run the event experience. Any reuse of your content by the event organizer (for example on the big screen or in their promotion) happens only with the specific permissions you grant when uploading.
We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law. Event organizers may moderate content within their own events.
5. Events and Organizers
Events on Peers are created and run by their organizers, who are responsible for the event's content, prizes, and conduct. Peers AS provides the platform and is not a party to any arrangement between you and an organizer unless stated otherwise.
6. Availability and Liability
We work to keep Peers available and reliable, especially during live events, but the service is provided "as is" and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Peers AS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, manipulate event results, or abuse the platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us; see the Privacy Notice for how deletion is handled.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this page, and material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the agreed venue, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
